Technical Questions
How do I choose my kitchen hood?
Besides your budget, it is important to consider several points when you are about to choose a kitchen hood. We will try to list them below to help you make an appropriate choice.
The first point is related to your taste; the kitchen hood must fit your kitchen furniture and maintain a harmony of style.
The second point is the type of installation that will be available to extract the air. If this installation is available, an air extraction hood is appropriate, otherwise you need an air recycling hood if you do not want to invest in a new installation.
The third point is the air extraction capacity (number of cfm). This capacity depends on the surface area of your kitchen and the nature of your stove;
Is it an electric, induction or gas stove?
Finally, the fourth point is related to your desire and this is what makes a kitchen hood high-end or not. Here we will talk about the noise level, materials and finish, ease of maintenance and use, features offered, energy efficiency, reliability, etc.
How do I maintain my kitchen hood?
Cleaning stainless steel: Aroua kitchen hoods are mainly made of 304 stainless steel, which is easy to clean and always keeps a perfect shine. To clean stainless steel, use a piece of non-abrasive cloth and a stainless steel cleaning product. Apply a small amount of this product to the non-abrasive cloth and wipe the stainless steel following the grain.
Cleaning the filters: Aroua hoods are equipped with a counter that increments each time you activate the fan. After a certain number of hours of use (this number of hours is programmed according to the customer’s needs when ordering), a signal appears asking you to clean your filters. The filters are made of stainless steel and can be washed in dishwashers and by hand.
My hood is not working, what should I do?
We have prepared for you a document that will allow you to identify some problems or false problems and resolve them effectively without requiring the intervention of a repairer or electrician.
Noise sources
There are three categories of noise generated by a kitchen hood: aerodynamic noise, mechanical noise and electromagnetic noise.
Aerodynamic noise is caused by poor design of the fan blades, poor design of the air inlet and poor design of the air collector; the space between the fan and the outlet of the kitchen hood.
Mechanical noise is often caused by vibration of the fan (unbalanced impeller) or friction between the fixed and moving parts of the motor; good quality motors considerably reduce this type of noise.
Electromechanical noise is rarely audible in kitchen hoods and comes from the fan motor. A good quality motor means that this noise is non-existent. Poor installation of ventilation ducts can contribute to amplifying noise in the aerodynamic and mechanical categories.
What is stainless steel?
Technically, stainless steel is an iron alloy that resists corrosion and oxidation. In the appliance industry, two grades are most commonly used; 304 stainless steel and 430 stainless steel.
304 stainless steel contains a minimum of 18% chromium and 8% nickel, which gives it properties sought after in a high-end appliance; better resistance to corrosion, ease of cleaning, a more permanent shine, etc.
430 stainless steel is a low-cost steel, its chromium content is practically zero, which reduces its resistance to corrosion.
Your appliance salesperson should tell you what stainless steel your appliance is made of.
What is a cfm, a dBA?
The cfm, acronym for “Cubic Feet per Minute”, a unit of measurement of air flow in cubic feet per minute. The pcm (Pieds Cubics par Minute) is its French equivalent.
The dBA is a unit of measurement of noise in Audible decibels on a logarithmic scale.
The Sone is also a unit of measurement of sound volume.
Why does a gas stove need more cfm than an electric stove?
A range hood is designed to extract fumes and vapors. However, it is important to know that gas stoves generate more heat energy and therefore more vapors when cooking, so range hoods used under a gas cooktop must have a higher extraction capacity in cfm. We suggest a minimum of 500 cfm for gas stoves.
How far should the kitchen hood be from the cooking surface?
The closer the range hood is to the hob, the better its
performance. But on the other hand, the closer the range hood is, the
smaller the handling and working space above the hob and the more you heat the elements of the hood
(fans, control system, etc.). The standard requires that
this distance be greater than 65 cm from the gas cooking surface,
it may be greater if specified by the manufacturer of the cooker
or hob.
Delivery
What is the delivery location?
Aroua Tek will deliver your order to the location specified on the order confirmation.
What is the delivery time?
If Aroua Tek fails to deliver the Product within 30 days of the scheduled delivery date due to a cause within its reasonable control, you may terminate this Agreement by giving five (5) business days’ notice. If the Product is not delivered within the notice period, this Agreement is terminated.

What currencies can I use?
Depending on the eurocarparts.com site, the currency will either display GBP or Euros.
French customers can shop at www.eurocarparts.com/fr_fr, currency in Euros.
German customers can shop at www.eurocarparts.com/de_de, currency in Euros.
What if the product is obsolete?
If a particular product model is no longer sold or is replaced and cannot be delivered on the scheduled date, Aroua Tek will notify you prior to that date that:
(a) at Aroua Tek’s discretion, an equivalent or superior model is available and is offered to you as a replacement for a reasonable additional charge; or
(b) the model ordered is not available and this Agreement is terminated.
Your acceptance of an equivalent or superior model in accordance with paragraph (a) shall amend the Order Confirmation accordingly. Failure to accept an offer of an equivalent or superior product within five (5) business days shall terminate this Agreement with respect to the affected product.
Can I use a different payment method?

What is a surcharge?
Some parts may specify a surcharge. Surcharge is a repayable deposit – You pay the full amount initially, when you return your faulty unit we refund the quoted surcharge amount.
Do your prices including VAT?
All our online prices include VAT.
Do you offer a VAT discount to non EU customers?
Customer’s ordering from outside the European Union can contact us via telephone, live chat, or e-mail and quote the order reference number. Our customer services team will go through the process to remove the VAT off of their order.
Products & Guarantees
Can I have more information about a product?
The product page, as well as the documents attached to it (technical sheets, installation manuals, etc.) contain enough information to answer your questions. However, if the information you are looking for is not available, we invite you to contact us.
What to do if the product stops working normally?
A set of malfunctions that can be observed from our products have been listed and explained at the end of the installation manuals. We encourage you to consult this section.
Orders
Delivery tracking?
Most of our deliveries are sent via our partner network and we will send you an email tracking your order. In the case of deliveries via a courier service, we will send you an email with the tracking number of your order listed on your invoice.
Where can I find the phone number of one of your branches?

How can I file a complaint?
On the rare occasion that we make a mistake, we are more than happy to take all customer feedback on board. There is always room for improvement. Contact us without delay.
Is it possible to change the address / cancel or modify my order?
Due to the specific requests we receive, we have a semi-automatic invoicing system. For any changes to your order, please call us immediately after placing the order. We can attempt to stop or modify your order with our customer service team, if this is not possible, we will advise you on the next steps following the terms and conditions of sale included on the website which we invite you to read.
My order is still active and then find out I have to wait extra days for delivery?
We sell custom made items in many cases, but available on order. Please note that if your order consists of out of stock items, we will ship what we have in stock not exceeding 30 days after the expected date due to a reasonable cause beyond its control. Read in the terms and conditions lines 25 to 33 in articles 6 to 6.6 the possibilities available to you.
Is it possible to have a refund?
Yes, it is possible that Aroua Tek Inc. will refund the full amount you paid for the product, however, it will not assume any liability for interest, losses or damages arising from the termination. Please read the terms and conditions of sale on lines 39 to 44.
Can I have an update on the status of my order?
You can get an update on the status of your order by checking your order in your My Account section. You will need to [log in] to access this area or contact us.
Can I return used devices to Aroua Tek Inc?
On request yes, if the products are already unplugged & uninstalled. This return will be subject to administration and recycling fees, the rates of which will be determined by Aroua Tek Inc.

Returns and Refunds
Can we return a product purchased from Aroua Tek inc.?
Products delivered to you may be returned to Aroua Tek or exchanged by Aroua Tek only in accordance with the provisions of this article.
Under what conditions can a product be returned?
Requests for returns or exchanges due to cosmetic damage, manufacturing or design defects or due to improper installation (assuming said installation was performed by Aroua Tek or its authorized representatives) are subject to Aroua Tek’s standard warranty and products may not be returned or exchanged except as provided herein. Aroua Tek’s standard warranty is attached hereto or, if not attached, is available at www.Aroua Tek.com.
Requests for returns or exchanges for any other reason, including dissatisfaction with the product, unsuitable product or defects not covered by Aroua Tek’s standard warranty, are accepted at Aroua Tek’s sole discretion. If a return or exchange is accepted, an Aroua Tek customer service representative will contact you to arrange for the return or exchange. If a return or exchange is made, you will be required to pay return shipping costs and, at Aroua Tek’s discretion, the cost of labor, transportation, and parts. If the product has not been removed from its original packaging, return shipping costs will not exceed 10% of the MSRP. In other cases, return shipping costs will not exceed 25% of the MSRP.
Can we get a refund if an order is cancelled?
If this Agreement, in respect of any product ordered, is terminated prior to delivery:
(a) for any reason directly attributable to Aroua Tek, including termination under the provisions described above (see question: under what conditions can a product be returned?) or
(b) prior to the earliest of: (i) 24 hours after the order has been placed; (ii) the time when the Aroua Tek customer service center confirms the order to you by telephone;
Aroua Tek will refund all amounts paid by you for said product. However, Aroua Tek will not assume any liability for interest, losses or damages arising from termination.
Can the normal sales agreement be cancelled or modified?
If this Agreement, in respect of any Product ordered, is amended, cancelled or terminated prior to delivery for any reason, you shall pay Aroua Tek, or Aroua Tek shall deduct from any deposits you have made, an administration fee of 10% of the deposit made by you or the minimum deposit due for such Product and Aroua Tek shall return to you any balance of amounts deposited after the administration fee has been deducted.
And for a product according to my specifications?
Notwithstanding the foregoing clauses (see the two preceding questions), if you terminate this Agreement in respect of a Product to be designed or manufactured to your specifications, Aroua Tek will retain all amounts paid by you.
Who pays the return shipping costs?
If you return an unsuitable item for a refund, we will only refund the cost of the item and not the original delivery charge.
Default on payment?
If you fail to make the final payment to Aroua Tek Inc when due for a standard product order, you will be liable, subject to any other rights and remedies, for a fee of 5% of the total invoice amount plus interest compounded daily at the prime rate plus 4%, and any reasonable costs and expenses incurred by it will be deducted from the deposit amount.

Guarantee
Warranty period?
Because we have confidence in our products and our know-how, Aroua Tek Inc. offers a basic 3-year parts and labor warranty that can be added to 2 more years in the case of installation via one of our installer partners and by packages with 5 or 10 additional years.
Do we have an extended warranty on Aroua Tek Inc. products?
Yes, in addition to having the best basic warranty on the market, if you use one of the installers approved and authorized by Aroua Tek, you automatically have 2 years of additional parts and labor warranties. This extension excludes the possibilities of additional 5 and 10 year warranties per package.
Is the product warranty transferable?
Because we believe that appliances are an investment, it is possible to transfer ownership of the basic or extended warranty at a minimal cost of administrative processing fees.
What is not guaranteed?
Domestic appliance used in a commercial environment will be warranted for twelve (12) months parts and six (6) months labor. Any LED bulb, mesh filter or baffle.
Warranty Exclusion?
- Has not been installed according to Aroua Tek Inc. installation instructions.
- Has been damaged as a result of negligence, accident, abuse or misuse, incorrect or abnormal use or transportation.
- Contains accessories or replacement parts that are not original.
- Has been repaired, maintained, changed or modified by a service center or by a technician not authorized by Aroua Tek Inc.
- Change of residence, possible exclusion and must be accepted by Aroua Tek Inc. thirty (30) days before any change. Uninstallation and reinstallation must be done by Aroua Tek Inc. or one of its authorized partners for the continuation of the guarantee.
